I'm a long time resident of Lake Zurich and it had been a while since I had dined at Di Pieros. My friend and I were on a mission for good authentic Italian food last weekend. Thank you Di Pieros for coming through! Our meal was delicious in every way. It was just what we were wanting and craving! To top it off our server Jamie made our night! She was so pleasant...It was like she knew exactly what we wanted before we asked. She was more than efficient and no doubt worked very hard at making our visit most enjoyable. Jamie made us feel so welcome and never rushed us out!! (My friend and I stayed a long time visiting and catching up)
I had forgotten what a gem this place is and it will not be long until we are back again. Yum!!! -

The bar area looked fantastic! Very busy - lots of happy people having dinner at the bar. We ate in the backroad - we had a bigger group. Service was very solid.
Ordered one of the specials, which one would expect was cooked that day - but this was cool inside - clearly reheated. Can't stand reheated (and cool) food. That was disappointing.
They have excellent pizzas and should have stuck to that. Owner was on-site so the business is well attended to, but they need to keep an eye on the kitchen... -

I was a a party the other night. In a group of locals who lived in this area most of their life...Dipiero's was brought up over and over as one of the places everyone included in the Christmas holiday to do list...We all agreed that the jovial "crowded" lively atmosphere is just cuddly and warm...
The food is basically regional in it's preparation...If your northern Italian leaning or southern Italian leaning I guess I would say it falls somewhere in between...
Do not miss the lasagna...
My Advice ....is get there early ....tables fill up quick...I am heading there now with out of town guests...leaving early... -

Usually love everything here but the Carbonara was a disgusting pile of tasteless pasta with a scant amount of prosciutto for $19. It was basically a poor excuse for alfredo sauce. The service was less than stellar as well. And what happened to the pizza menu???

Di Piero's for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Our starter: "Mussels Ascolana" white wine withv lemons was perfection ... so much better than the typical MusselsRedSauce mist restaurants serve. I ordered this evening's special "Tuscan Grilled Steak" - a flame grilled 8oz prime "Vegas" strip - the best steak I have had in years!! Husband enjoyed Linguini con Vongolé. The pasta was "perfectly al denté" and white clam sauce "very nicely flavored."
Di Piero's is always a great choice for an evening out ... celebration or Let'sNotCookTonight
